The Challenge:
During Clerkenwell Design Week 2024, Nordic Design House wanted to offer visitors a chance to step away from the busy festival atmosphere and reconnect with personal wellbeing.
The challenge was to design short, accessible workshops that provided both real relaxation and meaningful education - helping attendees manage stress in a fast-paced environment.

NouraWell designed and delivered a series of interactive wellbeing workshops inside the Nordic Design House showroom.
The programme included two Self-Massage for Stress Relief sessions and one Bath Salts Making workshop - crafted to offer immediate tools for physical relaxation and emotional regulation.
Each session included:
Understanding the Fight or Flight Response:
Participants learned about the body’s stress reactions and how to consciously shift into the relaxation (parasympathetic) state.Hands-on Practices:
Guided self-massage focusing on tension release (neck, shoulders, hands)
Breathwork techniques to calm the nervous system
DIY Bath Salts creation using natural salts and essential oils for continued wellbeing at home
The Experience:
Across three sessions:
Attendees engaged in practical exercises linking body awareness with emotional management
Participants learned techniques to deactivate the stress response during their daily work and creative practices
The Bath Salts workshop created a sensory, creative space for deeper relaxation and takeaway wellbeing products
Results:
Full attendance and high engagement across all sessions
Participants reported feeling more grounded, relaxed, and informed about their own stress responses
Strong positive feedback on the value of combining practical self-care with educational insights
